RTR-5 प्रस्तावना : दुसरे व्याख्यान

The Second Introductory Session for the upcoming Real-Time Rendering “RTR” batch (RTR 2023 / RTR 5.0), was conducted by Dr. Vijay D. Gokhale Sir and the Group Leaders of the currently ongoing RTR batch (RTR 4.0). Although this session was online, the 17 Group Leaders of RTR 4.0, the prospective Group Leaders of RTR 5.0, AstroMediComp’s admin Nihara Kulkarni, Gokhale Sir and Gokhale Madam were all present at Anandashram for the online streaming of this session.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Vijay D. Gokhale Sir introduced the 17 Group Leaders ofRTR 4.0 and assured the audience that they will guide the students willing to join the RTR 5.0batch and answer all the queries they might have. Sir also explained what the “Group Leader”concept is and how and why it is employed for the RTR batch. Sir explained that every GroupLeader was a plain student and group member of some previous RTR batch and how theirseniority and completion of their own batch makes them eligible to guide the new students of thenew RTR batch. Once the new batch begins, each group leader of the batch is allotted a groupof a certain number of new students from the new batch. Group Leaders hold a certain privilegein the hierarchy of the working of RTR course. They play a pivotal and parental role in the RTRjourney of the new students as they constantly guide them throughout the one-and-half yearspan of the course.

However, the life of a Group Leader is extremely tough. Alongwith the task of guiding theirgroup members, they must, as a group of Group Leaders, complete a project in DirectX. TheGroup Leaders of the ongoing RTR 4.0 said in their address, that even though the journey as astudent of RTR is intense, the desire to gain knowledge motivates them to push their limits andbecome Group Leaders for the successive batches. They also said that each stage ofcontinuing the legacy of knowledge adds immensely to their bag of experiences and providesgreat mental satisfaction.

As mentioned before, the group of Group Leaders of the RTR batch have to create a demo inDirectX during their tenure of leadership. Accordingly, the RTR 4.0 Group Leaders have alsocreated their DirectX demo which was the centre of attraction as it was presented during thissession. This demo is based on the Hindi poem “Khoon Ke Chhape” – by the great Hindi poet,Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan. “Actions speak louder than words” – the session ended with thedemo proving this sentence to be true

19 मार्च 2023 रोजी झालेल्या RTR-5 च्या दुसऱ्या प्रास्ताविक व्याख्यानाची सुरुवात RTR-4 च्या ग्रुप लीडर्स सोबतच्या प्रश्नोत्तराने झाली. व्याख्यान ऑनलाईन असलं तरीही RTR-4 चे 17 ग्रुप लीडर्स , RTR-5 चे होऊ घातलेले ग्रुप लीडर्स, ऍडमीन निहारा कुलकर्णी ,सर व मॅडम हे सर्वजण आनंदाश्रमात आवर्जून उपस्थित होते.

ग्रुप लीडर्स ची भूमिका समजावताना त्यांनी सांगितलं की RTR च्या पूर्ण बॅचला काही ग्रुप मध्ये विभागण्यात येतं व प्रत्येक ग्रुप साठी एक लीडर निवडण्यात येतो. हा ग्रुप लीडर आधीच्या RTR ग्रुप चा मेंबर असतो. ग्रुप लीडर्स हे ग्रुप मेम्बर्स ना RTR च्या संपूर्ण प्रवासात मार्गदर्शन करतात आणि हे करत असतानाच ते स्वतः सुद्धा प्रोजेक्ट करत असतात. विद्यार्थी म्हणून हा प्रवास थकवणारा असला तरीही ज्ञानार्जनाची आस त्यांना पुढे जाण्यास प्रवृत्त करते. अनुभवाची झोळी भरत, ज्ञानसंपदेचा वारसा चालू ठेवणारा हा प्रत्येक टप्पा मानसिक समाधान वृद्धिंगत करणारा आहे,असेही हे लीडर्स म्हणाले.
“सर फक्त टेक्नॉलॉजी शिकवत नाहीत तर आयुष्य कसं जगायचं हे नैतिक संस्कारही नकळत त्यांच्या वागण्याबोलण्यातून आपल्यावर होत असतात”, हे सांगताना ग्रुप लीडर्स भारावून गेले.. RTR च्या भावी विद्यार्थ्यांनी क्लास करताना आयुष्यात अभ्यासालाच प्राधान्य द्यावे हा मोलाचा सल्ला यावेळी त्यांनी दिला.
यानंतर सरांनी त्यांनी बनवलेला Ray Tracing चा एक डेमो दाखवला . Cornelbox Model वर Rendering च्या माध्यमातून colour grading stabilization कसं केलं जातं हे विद्यार्थ्यांना बघायला मिळालं.

कार्यक्रमाच्या अखेरच्या टप्प्यात आकर्षणाचे केंद्र ठरला RTR-4 च्या ग्रुप लीडर्सनी सरांच्या दिग्दर्शन व मार्गदर्शनाखाली DirectX मध्ये तयार केलेला ग्रुप डेमो. हरिवंशराय बच्चन यांची ‘खून के छापे’ ही कविता या डेमो मध्ये सादर करण्यात आली. हे काव्य एक भयाण स्वप्न आहे, एक समीक्षा आहे, एक कहाणी आहे, एक वास्तव आहे… आणि हे सारं त्या प्रोग्रामिंगच्या तथाकथित रुक्ष समजल्या जाणाऱ्या माध्यमातून सृजनात्मक रित्या साकार करून दाखवायची किमया या ग्रुप लीडर्स नी केली… शब्दांपेक्षा कृती बोलते हे सरांचं वाक्य खरं करत ह्या डेमोने कार्यक्रमाची सांगता झाली.
