Miss. Pradnya Vijay Gokhale

Miss. Pradnya Vijay Gokhale (daughter of honourable Dr. Vijay Dattatray Gokhale), today is one of the sought-after teachers at AstroMediComp. Since her early age, Pradnya has dreamed herself as a teacher. Being the daughter of Dr. Vijay Gokhale sir, teaching is in her DNA. However, the path which was known for all these years isn’t granted or to be assumed. Pradnya had to walk and thrive across many hurdles, failures and setbacks. Pradnya left no stone unturned to achieve this utmost success and respect in this early start of her professional career.

Childhood (You can connect the dots by looking backward……)

Pradnya’s childhood was no less than a roller-coaster ride. Pradnya grew up watching her father studying and working hard day and night at his computers. Her curiosity about computers and programming deepened and she became fascinated by it. She started exploring the world of computers as early as the age of 4 by playing computer games, drawing shapes in Microsoft Paint and taking a baby step in programming by doing simple “Hello, World!” program in C language at the age of 5!

In January 2011, at the age of 12, Pradnya, for the very first time assisted Gokhale Sir at the 2-day Multi-OS Seminar held at Sunbeam Infotech, where she installed 9 Operating Systems on one machine before an audience of 200-250 students. Pradnya continues to assist Gokhale Sir at the annual Multi-OS Seminar.

As Sir introduced Pradnya to the world of computers – Dr. Rama Vijay Gokhale Madam (Pradnya’s mother) played a very critical role in developing and shaping her interests and liking towards movies, arts and literature. Although Pradnya has completed her schooling from St. Helena’s High School, a strictly English Medium and I.C.S.E board complying school – her fluency and prowess in Marathi language surprises many. Pradnya loves reading books in her spare time. Her library includes books and novels of English, Hindi and Marathi literature as well as computer and programming-oriented technical books. Pradnya enjoys watching movies and listening to old, classical and vintage music and considers it as a part of her daily learning and routine.

Walking on the path known all the years….

In the year 2007, Dr. Vijay Gokhale Sir was one of the chief guests at the Sunbeam Alumni Get-together Event. He was accompanied to the event by his wife, Dr. Rama Vijay Gokhale and Pradnya. As Sir entered the venue of the event, he received a grand welcome and a standing ovation from around 1500 students. Pradnya, for the very first time, witnessed the grandeur, felicitation, love, pride and above all – respect – that all these students had for her father, their teacher. She was moved and amazed by it. At first, she thought these claps, the grand welcome and the standing ovation was meant for her too and she held her head up in pride, but at that moment, her mother stepped in to play another crucially important role – something that was going to change Pradnya’s life forever – she told Pradnya: “This applause is not for you, this applause is not for me. These students have learned from your father, they are applauding him for all his hard-work, teaching and his achievements. Have you done what your father has done? No, not yet. You will need to raise yourself and work as hard as him if you want to earn such applause for yourself.” At that very moment, 9-year-old Pradnya decided to follow in her father’s – her Guru’s – footsteps, to walk the same path which her father had walked … To become a teacher!

Pradnya is dedicated, determinant, extremely passionate and a hard-core coder. If Sir’s teaching style can be seen as monochrome and a bit of orthodox and of Gurukul tradition, Pradnya on the other hand is a bit vibrant with dynamic appeal. With this slightly distinguished teaching style and with Midas touch of AstroMediComp’s deep-rooted, strong cultural foundations, she has mastered and excelled in the balancing act of connecting both Gen Y and Gen Z world together.

At the age of 20, Pradnya officially started teaching “C” Programming language at the Real-Time Rendering “RTR” 2018 batch and explained difficult concepts like – Arrays, Pointers, Functions, Structures and Union etc. in-depth by giving simple real-life examples with ease.

In the year 2020, at the age of 22, Pradnya taught at the morning session of Multi-OS Seminar, explaining the core topics such as Virtualization and Hibernation in front of 400+ students – with experience range from freshers up to 20+ years in the IT industry.
